Winter/Holiday Date Ideas

Brrrrrrr!

Why is it negative a million outside? I would rather stay in and sit on the couch and watch Netflix all day! But there's actually so much you could do both inside and outside! I have put together a list of date nights/fun activities you can do with your partner.

1. Okay the most obvious..stay in have some hot chocolate or some wine and watch all the Hallmark Christmas movies ! (Sounds like my kind of night).

2. Go see Christmas lights either downtown or at the zoo. If you don't live near the city take a ride in the car through a few different neighborhoods.

3. Build a gingerbread house. Maybe make it into a competition? Maybe include some adult beverages?

4. Go to a pop up Christmas bar (A few good ones I know of in Chicago.)

5. Volunteer at a shelter/ soup kitchen or a local toy drive. (They can always use the extra hands this time of year!)

6. Go to a hockey game or basketball especially if your S/O is a sports fan!

7. Attend or host a Christmas party with friends and family. (Have everyone bring a white elephant gift, so fun!)

8. Bake holiday Christmas cookies and decorate them together.

9. Take that early vacation and spend a weekend at a cabin or go on that much needed ski trip with your hubby.

10. Go ice skating!! If you don't know how, it's such a fun thing to do with your boo and you are creating new memories.

11. Make dinner together (homemade pizzas?) and have a game night. (5 crowns is our favorite.)

12. Build a snowman and make snow angels.

13. Get a couples massage! Much needed during this stressful time of year!

14. Go hot chocolate tasting. Try out 5 different coffee shops/cafe's hot chocolate and compare.

15. Have a video game competition. I know Jack would be in heaven if we did this together.

16. Go see a musical or play at the theatre!

17. Run a holiday themed 5k together.

18. Go thrift shopping for Ugly Christmas sweaters! (This sounds like a blast.)

19. Stay overnight at a Christmas decorated bed & breakfast. Take all the basic white girl pics.

20. Go sledding!

21. Make DIY Christmas ornaments! Make sure you label the year so you can remember those precious moments.

22. Dress up in Holiday PJ's and take a billion Christmas pictures. (Utilize that self-timer)

23. Go on a carriage ride through the city!

24. Make your own holiday themed cocktails. (So many good ones on Pinterest.)

25. Go to a Christmas market. (Love Christkindlmarket in Chicago.)

26. And of course we can't forget picking out your own Christmas tree and decorating it!
