Makeup Favs!

Updated: Nov 9, 2019

Hi friends!

I wanted to share some of my favorite makeup finds with you guys. These are the products I've been LOVING over the past few months. If you know me you know I have sensitive skin. So for all you girls who need something that doesn't irritate your face I gotchu! I'll also link all the brushes and have a caption of what I use them for at the end!

PRIMER

First off I have been loving the Tula Primer. It does a great job blurring those fine lines and making my skin look super smooth. I also switch in the Benefit POREfessional one as well. I have used that one for years and still love it!

Foundation

I have been loving the IT Cosmetics CC cream. I wear the shade Medium Tan. This stuff is AMAZING!!!! I love it. It is so lightweight but has a great amount of coverage. I'd say medium coverage but you can build onto it. And if you want something lighter just one squirt of this will be perfect. It works great on my sensitive and acne prone skin. I found that when I switched over to this foundation my skin had few breakouts and less irritation. It also has SPF so I have been using this everyday while living on this island. I can't say enough good things about this CC cream. I apply this with a Damp Beauty Blender.

I also love Estee Lauder's Double Wear Foundation. I use this when I need more of a full coverage look. I wear shade Tawny. This stuff DOES NOT MOVE. Like I could get hit with a water balloon and it will still look perf! This also worked for my oily skin. Most full coverage foundations make my skin (even more) oily and cakey. I usually cannot wait to take it off but this foundation is the opposite. I forget it's even on. I apply this with a Damp beauty blender

Concealer

There is just one concealer than I use and will probably never look back. And I'm sure everyone else and their mother uses this haha but it's seriously just that good. No shocker here it's the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer. I wear the shade light medium. This is also very buildable and you can make it as full coverage as you need. I use this to cover up blemishes as well and it works great! I apply this with a Beauty Blender.

Bronzer

There's two bronzers that I've been using for the past few months. I first use with a fluffy brush the MAC Cosmetics Give Me Sun Bronzer. This is such a pretty color and it gives you a natural tan glow. It's gorgeous!

The second one, and the one I use more to define, is the Two Faced Chocolate Soleil. I like this first off because it smells like chocolate and second because it's a really nice chocolatey color. I use this with an edged brush.

Blush

There have been a few blushes I like. I got one in my monthly makeup subscription, Ipsy, and I really really like it! It's travel size and has lasted me so long. Probably 4 months ish now and still going strong. It's the Tarte Amozonian Clay Blush. It's such a subtle and natural looking blush.

The other one I really like is Nars Orgasm. This is such a pretty color and more of a pop of peachy pink. But still not too over the top. I think it looks so pretty on everyone. So sad, I forgot this one at home in the U.S., so I'm currently on the hunt for it here in Japan.

Brows & Eyeshadow

So I first start off with the Loreal Brow Definer in shade brunette. I love this eyebrow pencil. It matches my brows so perfectly and isn't chunky, plus it stays on all day. I love the Anastasia Brow Whizz but I the Loreal one does the same trick for much cheaper.

For eyeshadow, I love the Two Faced Chocolate Bar, once again it smells like chocolate. I just love the colors in this palette. I have brown eyes and all of these colors make my eyes pop! I like the browns and greens and gold colors. I use those the most.

I also really like the Urban Decay Naked 1. This Palette was my favorite but sadly they discontinued it. But I found it on Urban Decay's site and it's on super sale! So if you want it I would grab it soon!

And the last one I use pretty often (I also left in the U.S. by accident, oops) is the Tartelette Toasted Palette. I think these colors are the most pigmented out of all the palettes and last a long time. Plus the colors are so so spot on, I love it!

Eyeliner & Mascara

The liquid eyeliner that I have been using and really liking is the Loreal Voluminous Liner Noir Liquid Eyeliner. This stuff is awesome. The tip is super skinny so it doesn't make the line too thick. It's very easy too use and is great for cat eyes.

The mascara I have been using is my OG mascara. I have tried some more expensive ones and they are great but I ALWAYS go back to this drugstore one. I have used the Covergirl Lashblast (orange tube) since I was in high school. I love the way it makes my eyelashes look so full & super long. I don't know why, but it's just amazing and works so well on my lashes! Plus, it's so much cheaper than the higher end ones. So win win right?

Highlight & Setting Powder

There's two highlights I love and use all the time. The first one is the Becca Cosmetics Champagne Pop highlight. This gives you the most beautiful glow and I just LOVE it! I put it on my cheek bones, my cupids bow (above my lips) and above my brow.

I also received a highlight stick in my FabFitFun Box and I LOVE this thing. It's by Thrive Cosmetics and I use the color Stella. This is more of a subtle and natural highlight. I like to use this in the inner corners of my eyes, underneath my brow and if I'm doing 5 minute makeup or something simple I'll put this on my cheek bones and dab with my finger to blend it in. It looks so subtle but gives a nice shimmery glow.

As for setting powder, I love love the Laura Mercier but I used it so fast and I would spend a lot of money purchasing new ones. But hey it's worth it t was just hurting my bank account haha . So I found a drugstore powder that I LOVE just as much and for a fraction of the price. It's the Airspun Loose Powder I get the color 041 Translucent Extra. I apply this with a damp beauty blender underneath my eyes and let that sit while I do my eyeshadow and brows. I then use a fluffy brush and wipe away the powder under my eyes and gently dust some over the rest of my face to set mIy makeup.

Brushes & Sponges

So I use a Real Techniques Beauty Blender for most of my makeup (foundation, concealer and to set my under eyes with the loose powder.) I use the real techniques orange beauty blender.

For brushes, I use a lot of the Real Technique Brushes. They are affordable and they do an awesome job applying my makeup. I'll link them all in their pictures and describe what I use them for. The set is probably the best deal if you need new brushed or don't know exactly where to start.

Lipstick

I have been using these lippies since I think forever. These are my go to OG lip colors! The Anastasia Liquid Lipstick in the color Dusty Rose. I love love this color, it is the perfect mauve! I like it so much I wear it through every season. I also am obsessed with the Jesse James Decker Lip Kit. She created such a wonderful formula and color. The lip liner goes with so many other products and I use it all the time! Another great lipstick is the Tarte Lipstick in the shade Salt Lyfe . This is such a pretty mauve ish pink color, and I promise it looks good on everyone and it's not drying. Another mauve color coming at you (shocker) is the Stila liquid Lipstick in the color Patina. I think I have 5 of these tubes scattered throughout my purses. And I got all my friends hooked too! And the last lippie I love is technically a tinted lip balm but it's soo good! Catrice Tinted Lip Glow Balm This product is amazing, it moisturizes but also brings out the natural color of your lips, plus it looks different on everyone. It's my go to everyday lip!

Makeup Remover

I have been using the Neutrogena Makeup Wipes. I use the regular (Blue package) and the nighttime ones. (Purple package). Afterwards, I just do my regular skincare routine.

Hope this was super helpful! Let me know if you need any links or help with anything else!
